Web 2.0

Did you hear about a great new web 2.0 application that will help engage students or encourage them to collaborate and share?

Tell us more . . .

I was fortunate enough to stay on after Thursday and attended a great session on Friday moning called the "Great Web 2.0 Face Off". It was an interactive session where two teams used the format of a hockey game and competed against one another to showcase many Web 2.0 tools.

It was a highly-charged, example-filled and idea-rich info session that gave practile ways to use great Web 2.0 tools in your classroom. Audience engagement throughout and idea contruibution made this an inspiring session. Best of all, the gems of the session are on the Web for you to access: https://sites.google.com/site/oslahockeyfaceoff/

Do not be overwhelmed. Pick one or two tools and give them a try. Web 2.0 tools help to engage our students while providing them with 21st century skills and are a perfect way to promote the Learning Commons. Hope you find some gems that work for you!
